I discussed this match at training this morning. Filus didn't get his share of good fortune, but played very well. Was unlucky not to nick the first.

One comment though....should we call him a defender. He defends, sure, but played a lot of excellent offense vs Fan. So an allrounder ??

From what point onwards we call a modern defender an allrounder? He played best when his attacks were fifty-fifty with his defense. He did that perfectly in the first two sets. Then he tried to attack more, resulting in, together with Fan's luck, two sets not going too well. The fifth and sixth he was playing at that equilibrium again. You still notice, though, his defense is weaker than his attack. Those two need to equal each other out. Anybody noticed Fan didn't apologize after those lucky points?
