The close up of black pips in match agst SHEN Y shows pips run horizontally
which is consistent with 802
Was that taken in the China Open 2010 ?
Does anyone have other evidence to place when the change from long to short was made ?
Also info as to how much sponge.
As a short pip chopper (802) I'd welcome it and be very interested to see how it affects her game and results from now on. My guess is that the change (to short) would be to introduce variety particularly aimed at thwarting the very proficient strong Chinese attacker(s) who seem(s) to have got the measure of her.

I have watched so many of her vid's and if I was younger and had lots of money I would have her train me. **YA BABY.. anyways. I always said if you want to learn the correct way to play this type of game..watch the girls play.. Yes they may not be super fast, but the technique required and tactics are easyer to see. Now I watch guys like Richard Mcafee, Leatherback...etc. to watch technique and tactics. I am gaining more success attacking now instead of passive or push blocking/or chopping. I am mixing up my shots alot more.. I did manage beating a 2200 player one game last week, and finished strong on most of my games losing by 3 on the average. BUT to play like Kim..wow that would be my dream come true..a big fan of her's and a few more.

Peace GIG..........gotta work for aliving

 :Chop:

New blade set-up... Nittaku Monophonic with Dawie 388d-1 ox and Big slam max ( really like this one) down to FH rubber selections--I like it better than talon
flaired handle and 90 grams

on her BH, if it's not still Screw soft, probably it's Feint long 3 now, some momentary reflections of her paddle from Brasil open final and very high spin when chopping over the table ...not sure
