I must admit, I hate it when people pin me down in my bh corner, especially if they are able to make a controlled loop. My solution against this is to either step around and attack (requires really good footwork, not only to step around, but more so to be able to get back in position and cover the table for an eventual return) or to twiddle the blade and lift the ball back with some topspin, cause even if it is obvious, the variation in spin often makes it hard for them to attack with good consistency.

Yes same here, although I tend to struggle looping with the backhand... not enough practice... Trying to get in close and chop-block short to their FH can also work, although it's hard to do if they loop really deep.

This is the main reason why I started to exploring/experimenting attacking strokes with LP on the backhand side. Too many times, I was pinned on the backhand corner agains floats, slow, slight looped balls, pushes, etc. No other choices but chopped back, one small error, ball pop up and get slaughtered.

To all defensive LP players, don't let them pin you down to your backhand corner, learn how to attack back, even if the ball coming is a slow loop or a push. If you have a robot, learn how to attack with your LP, prefer a sponge with at least 0.8 mm to 1.3 mm.

Let's take back the initiative and attack with our LP. ;)

i have recently been using a fast upward stroke with the pips with the blade angled slightly forwards, the return is fast and low and i try to aim into the opponents body/playing arm,at the moment working on consistency but it looks promising
