He sure does. I love how compact and efficient his strokes are.

My first coach (Chinese) wouldn't be impressed.

After watching a lot of videos of the compact-style Paul shows in those clips, I determined that style would work better for me and I had to change coaches to get it. I'm too old and my joints to fragile to handle the free-wheeling all-out whipsaw the Chinese teach and I have tennis elbow to show for it.

My new coach thinks I'm coming along well, but just the other night I wound up talking to my old coach and he said he had been watching me and was disappointed that I had "lost" my stroke. I'll never hit it like Paul Drinkhall, but I have moved up 300 rating points since I switched coaches.

Now if only I had Paul's footwork maybe I could reach those fast loops to the corners... :headbang:

They are great training videos showing footwork and pre detirmined drills,
one of the middle vids have them both playing from 2mtrs back and just working across this is a great way to show real training as opposed to just forehand to forehand which so many of us do
His training is closer to real game situations
He did look good and compact

anyone notice what was done in the first video??

how there was a variation of two strokes, a top spin (loop?) then more of a smash
