Sorry if this question should be in another section. I did not find a category for it, but was wondering if there was instruction for developing an good lob. I am a modern defender and would love to have this in my arsenal. I dont really see it taught that much but can see the value in it. In the rare times when I have used it, it seemed to push the guys that stay up at the table back.

I really enjoy the pros doing this, esp. when they lob a few times and then top spin loop their way back up to the table! What fun!

Any help you can give me would be great. Thanks!

Some more tips, as taken from a Chinese textbook :
-- Take care you place the ball to the opponent's table rear zone, someplace near the table's end line.

NOTE: REGULAR LOBBING is a sweaty, painstaking job; some toil indeed.

EMERGENCY LOB.

Real episide at Challenge Pro Tour 2018.
The lob to save a point. Followed by a fantastic "scrotum stroke."
