02/11/2010 New Zealand Junior & Cadet Open - ITTF Junior Circuit

The Haka, a Maori traditional dance performed by the All Blacks, the New Zealand Rugby Team, greets adversaries prior to the start of international rugby matches.

Once over the Kiwis are ready to face their adversaries; it is tradition and may seem fearsome as thighs are slapped and the theme is that of fierce, powerful men ready to fight the foe.

Well, from Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th April 2010, the Haka may be absent in Auckland, situated in New Zealand抯 north island, as the city welcomes players for one of Oceania?most important table tennis events of the year.

The city is the home for the ITTF Junior Circuit event, the eighth of the year, from Tuesday 6th to Friday 9th April 2010.

ITTF Junior Circuit, 6th-9th April
The New Zealand Junior & Cadet Open will feature both teams and individual events in the junior and cadet category. Consolation in teams and singles will be played if possible according to the number of entries and schedule.

ITTF Training Elite Camp, 3rd ?5th April
The Canadian ITTF expert Dejan Papic, will lead the official ITTF Training Camp that will be held from 3r to 5th April in the same facilities.

Prize Fund
The Organizing Committee offers a total of US$ 4,400 in prize money. 20% taxes deduction as per New Zealand laws.

Fourth International Youth Olympic Games Qualification Event, 10th ?11th April 2010
In addition, Auckland will host the fourth out of five international stops where players will get the chance to qualify for the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore. One girl and one boy spots will be decided there.
