Do any of you guys think this is how the camera angle should be like in TT matches? Cos i think with the usual angle, which is higher up than this, you don't really get to see the amount of top spin and side spin thats put on the ball. Makes it a lot less interesting.

First off, I agree that the usual, high, behind-the-player setup does compress the depth of field and makes it difficult to appreciate topspin.

Secondly, I have to say that I hate the camera work in the Kreanga/Mattenet game! Changing viewing angles midway through a point is guaranteed to confuse anyone. Equally, the positioning was frequently too low, meaning that the players obscured the shots that were being played. Again, not a lot of help for the viewer.

Thirdly, on another thread the suggestion was made that the ideal positioning for cameras was as shown in this clip:

And I think it does meet a number of important criteria: improves depth of field, shows topspin, players don't obscure the table.

That i agree with, they should stop switching all the time. Some of the angles in that match was weird.
