We can buy (fairly inexpensively) the whole games on DVD, that this clips are from. See the custom defender vid's thread.

Hi...That video is on Greg Letts's Website, along with a video of Greg and Paul Pinkewich . http://www.gregsttpages.com/videos/freevideos.html

The reason why I mention this is because it is there in a higher quality than it is on the Youtube video... however, to download Youtube videos use http://www.orbitdownloader.com/ and just right click and select "grab video"...it seems to be the best Youtube downloader at the moment ...

If you use Media Player Classic as a video player
http://sourceforge.net/project/showfile ... e_id=84358

you can frame advance, splitting each second into more than 25 pictures, and in doing that you get to see the Bat twiddling that goes on..
Paul does twiddle as much as Greg, but Greg sometimes twiddles his bat twice in between strokes!.. and his frequency of twiddling is about one twiddle for 3/4 or more of the strokes he makes...
Twiddling certainly has been well programmed into his TT mind and is an integral part of his defensive strategy....
slowing the game down to a reasonable speed..

Keep in mind that I twiddle much more against Paul than I would against your typical speedgluing looper - because Paul's pretty familiar with long pips, and because I'm trying to set up my own attacks more often than I would need to against most other players. I've also got a bit more time against Paul than you do against attackers - I would never double twiddle against most attackers - but against a chop from Paul you sometimes have time to change your mind and twiddle again.

Bottom line : don't try to twiddle too often against attackers - you'll drop your own consistency too much.

I really liked this one, which I found posted by the same youtube user:

It's the 2007 Australian Open Men's Final between William Henzell and Simon Gerada. I LOVE Simon's celebrations! LOL. They are totally in your face!

Yeah, Simon was trying to get the crowd into the match a bit more. For an Aussie Open final involving a Victorian vs a South Aussie, they were pretty quiet most of the match - maybe already conceding the match to William? Simon was doing his best to rev them up a bit for some support.

I played Craig Cambell once at the NZ Veterans I was up about 8-3 in the first game smacking everything ,he was playing defensive but couldnt get back my hard hits ,he did catch up and win 12 -10 and then for the next two games he stayed right up and looped everything, That what makes a player really good when they can change thier style to win
