I haven't watched too many videos of defenders, but Joo is very impressive. Does anyone know what sort of equipment he is using to chop like that?

There were a few points where it didn't look like he was going to get it back, then just quickly gets into position and rips a massively spinny chop

Not wishing to get into war of words with you... He uses the real Joo blade also, not just the Diode w/ Joo handle... It depends on where and who he plays. He also uses T05 frequently, not just T64 (always w/2.1mm sponge, btw).
Where do I get the information? My ex-coach Hak Jin Lee (former owner of L.A.'s Olympic Club where I sponsored) was a long-time roommate of Joo in college, and on the same Korean National Collegiate Champion team with Joo. He calls Joo his little brother. He's still very much in contact with Joo.

Yep. That rolling shot there sure caused a spark in the dinosaur. Not often you see a yellow, jumping, Therapod.

Great match, by two awesome players. Matsudaira has that crazy tomahawk serve. But then, Joo, the the sleeping giant. He chops and chops, until the oppurtunity presents itself, and SHABANG!!!! Both excellent players....

He's on fire again... Anyone has seen the interview of this match?



First of all, he's trying to speak English in contrary to an interview last year and it is not bad at all, taking into consideration he learned that within a year time. Second, listen to the answer he's giving to the final question. Can we suspect something of Joo in the coming Olympics? If he plays like he's now playing, I think we can. BTW, marvelous editing of the ITTF again.

I'll post that interview in the ordinary Joo Se Hyuk topic.
