It's only a week to go. Are all the usual suspects going? If The wife doesn't need the car I hope to get down to There at some stage. Reb, have you entered the over 40s singles this time?

I'm in as far as I know. I've handed a form in so I'll check everything is sweet on Monday. I don't expect much performance wise on these single day trips to msac on the train but not a bad day out otherwise :)

Unfortunately, I can't make it this time. I did get a call from MSAC yesterday to see whether I was attending, but I had to let them down. ;(

Gearing up for my 'hometown' Vets in Ballarat (August 5)!!!

That's a shame you won't be playing in the Vic Closed Oskar. Looks like there will be one less good guy in section 4 to confront the inevitable Dandy Ring-Ins. :(

Rebs "Division 4" mate finally got his initial rating by they way, just a smidge over 1200 and smack into the middle of Div 2

Oskar there's an informal non TTV tournament in Hamilton soon too, I'll send you a link, actually just push this https://docs.google.com/open?id=0B0qfCT ... 1NISFM5eDQ

Thanks, Foam, that Hamilton comp. looks like a lot of fun. I haven't been to Hamilton before, so it could double as a bit of a getaway.

Oskar, a few Ballarat players usually go to it since it's reasonably close by. It is a lot of fun too. Because they don't use the state divisions I'm not sure what single grades you would play, maybe B2 through to A3 at a guess.

Carbonman, after I educated myself at Wikipedia that was pretty funny :0

lol Foam - I thought you 40-something young uns might struggle with the reference.

Are you expecting any Dandy Ring-Ins at the Hamilton tourney?

Dandy ring in's wont travel that far, especially without major cash prizes and there are no cash prizes at this tournament. So you wont see anyone from Dandy there. You get some players from Ballarat, Horsham, South Australia, even Mildura but not many from Melbourne 8) .

I know who he is, but I don't get it! Maybe its an "in" joke!

I'm not playing Closed. MSAC is crap, so me and my non-Gerard Kennedy mate decided we wouldn't play.

Wouldn't matter how much cash was on offer at Hamilton, I wouldn't play there....unless I was guaranteed enough appearance money to have 2 nights at a 4 star motel...do they even have one there? :P

Plenty of 4 star hotels in Hamilton. Better table tennis stadium than Dandenong too.

Beautiful stadium foam!

Reb - Gerard Kennedy was the star of "Division 4".
