Is that short pips on Ting's backhand?
Interesting to see it in black if it's a short pips. Probably a spinny short pips?

Thanks to Sir Portal.

I Dont Think So...

HE is kind of spin oriented in the BH, and its black his BH, dont see too many black short pips on backhand.
He made some vicious side spin back hand in this game, And a Lot of Chikitas too...

its def short pips...

#1. he back hand hits everything....even what look like flips are actually hits, same technique used to hit backspin with all types of pips...

#2. look how afraid he is to use his backhand away from the table.....only at the table will he not try to step around...

edit...i watched it again.....he certainly has short pips technique....

if it is inverted it is a style that hasn't been coached to a high level in a VERY long time....to hit instead of loop with the backhand is a very old style.

id like to see his racket

Well the way it shines and plays, it's either a spinny SP or a dead inverted.
I'm leaning heavily towards inverted.

Also, that style is not old! I used to play that style using double inverted! #disgust!

Illegal service toss where he raises his hand and the ball overhead and then lets the ball basically roll out of his hand to be struck by the bat.. amazing that was never called.
