2014 Arizona Open - Open Singles Finals Match

Truong Manh Tu vs. Earl James Alto

This is one of the two Two Star tournaments that the Phoenix Table Tennis Club holds each year. The Open Singles event on Sunday is the premier event with the Giant RR Group A finals on the previous Saturday being the second in stature. Truong and Earl have been regular finalists in both events these past couple years. They face off here, once again.

Yes. That's why its a month late getting posted. I'm experimenting with some new software and trying to figure out how to edit a match recorded with multiple cameras in a relatively easy way. I learned a lot with this exercise and hope to do better next time.

No. I use Premier Pro in our studio and it is quite good. But I'm not sure how well it would work with four synced cameras. I've never tired that. Plus, I wanted something that I could use on my laptop. So I tried out Lightworks. Once you get your clips synchronized, you can hit "play" and then just hit the 1, 2, 3 or 4 number key on the keypad to select which camera's view you want dropped to the timeline. Of course, you can go back and tweak the results. But the cool thing is that all four cameras stay in sync.

Didn't use GoPros, used JVC Adixxions. They were cheaper. :^) This is all on my personal budget so I gotta wach my pennies.

That is awesome. Better than most pro tournaments. Great job. I've love to see a vid with this configuration of you playing a double-inverted player with your hardbat. That would be cool!

Thanks for the input. Negative/constructive comments are welcome as well.

Maybe someday I'll include a match with me playing against inverted. The goal here is mostly to improve the videos we post for the club.
