Well spotted!
The balls are a long way away, and they don't look any more distracting than all the white graphics & logos on the floor, so I guess the umpire did not see it as an issue.

My vague memory is that the China Super League trials some "interesting" rules. The ones that I can remember being discussed previously are: Deciding game is first to 7 rather than 11 Using ball boys in court I can only assume that in this instance they are using more than 1 match ball, and instead of going and getting each ball at the end of the rally, they leave balls that end up at or near barriers and get the next one from the umpire or assistant umpire. Without footage prior to that shown I can't tell for sure. |
