Thanks! The video made me wish I was there in the audience to watch it.

Excellent vid abdulmuhsee.

I think some of the old guard here are somewhat ungracious towards Satoh. He was a valid world champion who broke no rules and should be recognised as such; an innovator.

Just the fact that the old guard is narrating the story while merely discussing the facts of the match and their eyewitness account(s) makes me think it's actually pretty unbiased, especially considering Reisman is one of the narrators.

They did visually equate his paddle to a katana, which is quite the compliment :-).

I'm just sorry I can't find any more footage or info on Satoh. I think the one clip of them pushing the ball is it.

There were a few things said in the clip that I thought ungracious; although it isn't Reisman saying them and I don't know who the character is;

"Satoh was the worst player on the Japanese team"

"He was knock-kneed"

"He looked like he came from outer space"

This is what I thought ungracious about a player who was an innovative world champion.

The fact they are narrating may also mean they were being paid ;)

Alright, you win :-). The first comment could just be used to explain and enhance their and the audience's surprise at him winning, but the other two were taking it a bit far, even though I just took it as a flair for the dramatic to make the story more entertaining from said character.
