Just imagine this lady calling the score in your ear every time it changed.

What is wrong with the voice? Mono tone? Refs are not supposed to show any emotion for either player.
The sound of the voice? Voices from different countries may sound different from yours.
Look for the good things like how many years she spent to be a ref at that level.

Hookshot, no offense, but you really need to lighten up sometimes and recognize a joke; you seem to think there is something morally wrong with poking fun at anyone on the mildest of levels or even voicing an opinion of disapproval about something, and proceed to give a generic, politically correct statement which is besides the entire point of the post. Please lighten up and at least attempt to enjoy other peoples' jokes and opinions, even if they aren't as 'culturally refined' as your own.

In the Spin NYC thread, though me and Tradesman both made it clear we were on the opinion that things like alcohol and the nightclub culture/environment are social evils that do not belong in TT, you felt the need to 'set us straight' and tell us we're no good for saying anything bad about anything, which is no different than what we did in the first place. If we're not allowed to say anything in disapproval of anything, then why are you allowed to say anything in disapproval of us?

Please stop policing every thread that isn't 'politically correct' by your standards, and if you must know what's 'wrong with the voice', though you seem to think I'm making a personal attack on the lady by extension and that the post was something more than harmless fun and an attempt to tell a joke and make someone smile, I myself would find someone announcing the score so loudly in a high-pitched, monotone voice every point to be quite annoying and mildly humorous, which was the sole point of the post in the first place.

Don't see the joke in that. If you were not so critical of things this would not continue. You speak your mind and I speak mine.

No, you don't see the joke in anything, and you're delusional if you think you're any less critical than I am. If you were merely speaking your mind and voicing your opinions, as you say, I wouldn't have a problem, but you're taking it upon yourself to 'correct' anything that doesn't seem to meet your standards.

I'm not the one being critical, but you're intent on making everything out to be that way.

How do you know one of the ladies is not my wife?

@abdulmuhsee

Hookshot has just as much right to be critical as you do as to joke. If you don't like what Hookshot says then ignore it. He can state his opinion just as you can. You think he needs to lighten up, he thinks you need to make sure your jokes are funny.

Just ignore him, if you don't like him and don't want to discuss it. If you want to discuss it then he is allowed to discuss it as well.

You can call it correcting but it's just him stating his opinion, he doesn't think your statement if funny.

I don't care if he doesn't find it funny, which is no surprise and can't possibly be with the following discussion; it's his claims that a mild joke is ethically wrong, and it's curious why I'm the only one who was advised that 'if you don't like it, ignore it,' which could just as easily apply to hookshot.
