Well... Maybe I missed something, but for such a high level player as Tao Li is supposed to be (I haven't heard of him but that doesn't mean anything) he seems to know very little about players with lp  and because of that this was kind of fun to watch: http://www.tabletennisuniversity.com/vi ... deo2-pips/

But there are other films and more to come I guess. I haven't watched those, they might be a little more helpful.

yes he should have bought in a LP chopper or at least a Lp player to help with the demo, or editited the miss balls and had his assistant loop some, just a rough summary that may help some players

Yeah, his tips weren't that bad, I guess, but he seems to really have a limited knowledge of long pips rubbers. If you look at the closeup of his red rubber at the beginning of the video and see how badly it's glued on, you get a sense of what's coming. What he said about long pips players only being able to attack with a sideswipe motion is completely false, of course.

That's why it's not a good idea for long pips players to take lessons from double inverted coaches. They usually don't know what the #$%&*# they're talking about.

I agree with all of the above. But what bugs me the most is how disrespectful he talks about long pimple players. My coach plays double invertded and at the beginning of my transformation period he wondered a little if that really was the best for me, but he doesn't do that anymore and he halps me a lot, mostly with my offensive game but also with my footwork. But when it comes to chopping I have learned everyhing from this forum and videos.

If you want to beat one who is using long pimples you should at least start with showing some respect I think.

Why?

If they use LP, they are clearly with out talent, why else would the resort to LP's? And guys with out talent don't get my respect. Now, a good anti player on the other hand, that is totally different

He he... and how about those bastards with anti on one side and pips on the other :D (I belive the number two in the world above 70 years, a local hero in my home town, Bo Thorinsson, plays with some kind of anti on one side and 563-1 on the other side, but I am not completly sure of this).
