Dude is doing what he can get away with having fun. Having fun usually costs points. Maybe he realized he could have much more fun that match. I have run into a few similar players in clubs here. They usually tone it down when a div 1 player is on the other side.

I would say he's entertaining the crowd, and its difficult to know whats going on without having a background to the match.

i would say he's an idiot who shows no respect for his opponent, the game, the spectators and who is trying to annoy his opponent. thinking he owns the game. like i said...idiot

Seems like a bit of a show-off, and I find it disrespectful to his opponent. If it's wasn't a serious match it's probably OK.

I'm with you on this one.

It does raise the issue of what you would do if you found this guy on the other side of the table. Ignoring him would of course be the best bet, but I'm not sure I could ignore him! :devil: Can you ask the umpire to intervene, and get him to tone it down?

i agree...much better player can afford it to 'entertain' like that while making opponent looking miserable. but would he be doing that if he was losing that match? what is he trying to prove?
