Hmmm.... Not trying to be cynical, but is Biba the Anna Kournikova of TT? Best ranking 161 in 2003...

Something like that. Not to say she isn't a great player, but the attention she receives has just as much (more) to do with being a blonde-haired, white woman as opposed to the other 99% of Asian women who dominate the sport in every country around the globe.

The fact that she was on ESPN's "Sexiest Women in Sports" and Spike TV's "Hottest Athlete" (to each his own) should be enough proof. Killerspin figured she would be the best female spokesperson/icon for their company and American TT in general, as the general populous likely would not care about a more talented, but supposedly not as tall, attractive, or domestic-looking Asian lady. It's just another example of marketing in its most mundane form :?: .
