I think a super tacky rubber is the easiest to do it with... if it's got no tack, it's almost impossible to stop a bounce on the rubber.

just wondering would it be considered a legitimate shot??? since the dwell time varies for each rubber.... the epic drop shot there fore is legal

I think the problem is that for a valid return to be made under rule 2.07.01, the ball must be "struck", not caught.
