In the other forum you can find many rating estimation threads. I think it might be fun here also. Estimations in USATT ratings.

I will start. What you think the rating of red and blue shirt players in this video are? The red shirt player has Feint ox in his BH, and I have played against him couple of times lately. :)

I'll take a shot at it. Blue shirt is maybe 1650-1750, red shirt is having a tougher time of it and is perhaps 1500-1600. They don't retreat into a pushing match like U-1400 players tend to do when the attacks aren't going in. I don't see highly developed serves (or short serves) that I'd expect for higher rated players. Both players aren't afraid of attacking backspin or playing further back, though there is a lot of missing.

Thanks for the estimation. :) It was bit of the mark, though... ;)

Although blue is erratic, his loop is strong. I reckon he's probably closer to USATT 2100? I love the illegal serve he throws in at key points too, that's the hallmark of a better player for sure :D

I'd say much higher than Iskander's guess.... in the 2100 region?

Technically it looks good but they'd probably lose against USATT 1600+
Both could be somewhat higher when they'd tune down their equipment. There are definitely much too much unforced errors and an obvious lack in control.

Not sure about that. Blue player looks disturbed by pips, but I'd put both of them above 2000.

Their Finnish ranking and rating can be seen here... http://imgur.com/a/Uad0r and then add couple hundred points to get to their USATT rating. Number one in Finnish ranking is P. Olah, 70. in word ranking.

This is actually a little deceiving because early on the 2 players look around 1700-1800 US, but as the game goes on and you get more of a look at their skills they could be anything up to 2200 or so. I'd say they are probably not as high as that as they don't seem quite that consistent. So I'll land in the range of 1900-2000. Its always hard assessing level from video because each player can impact the other to make them look good or bad. Getting at the other end of the table to someone can change you perception of them drastically, having only watched them play til that point.

It seems to only show 26 players Roy. Do you have to download it to see the rest?

Not sure if it then even helps us understand finnish ratings compared to say US.

I took just picture of few players ranking. You can see their ranking on the left and rating on the right. Overall Finnish ratings are couple hundred points(?) lower than USATT rating, so 1800 player in Finland is closer to 2000 in USA.

How about these guys. If you know either one of them, don't chime in.

At the time of the video, the guy in the gray was 2154, and the guy in the Black with the long hair, Dewitt, was 2254. He's been as high as 2457. His stroke mechanics look like 1400 to some people....
