Hi Guys,

Today they played Joo - Ma Lin on the player and I wanted to record it. From a couple of posts I already knew this was impossible with e.g. RealPlayer Recording Manager. But after a little research I found the way how to do it. Ok, here it goes :

1) Download the SDP Downloader (http://sdp.ppona.com/zipfiles/SDP_v2_3_0.msi) and install it.
2) Download the Playlist from the ITTF itTV Player. You can do this by clicking on "Live Stream" and instead of opening the file, save it somewhere on your hard disk.
3) Now open the playlist in the SDP Downloader. You can do this by clicking "Open" and instead of inserting a link, click the "Browse" button and open the Playlist. Make sure, when your browsing, you can see all files (not only WM log files,...).
4) The Downloader opens the URL within the Playlist. You can find the URL in the botton of the window (under URLs). Copy this URL and click again on "Open". Now paste the URL and press "Ok".
5) You only need to press "Go" and you can record the the whole live video stream. Click "Abort" to stop recording.
6) The file you get is a WMV9/WMA2 asf. file and cannot be played on the WMP of Vista. Codecs for Vista aren't available. So you need to convert the file into .mpg. You can use this simple program to do this : http://erightsoft.podzone.net/GetFile.p ... Rsetup.exe .

Oh yeah, make sure you didn't open the Playlist with your standard media player, because you can open it just one time. If you've done that, you need to redownload the Playlist again. Also, make sure you aren't watching the live stream while trying to download it. You can only do one thing on one computer. That's why I used both my laptop and PC. Tonight (or tomorrow) I'll post the link of the match Joo - Ma Lin played today.

Greetz,
Lorre

I dont understand. I can only get a match live once. To get to Ma/Joo now I have to go into on demand. Cant see how to save from there. Thanks.

p.s. Pls change your signature from 'loose' to 'lose'. Spelling errors in posts are ok but spelling errors in signatures are not aloud. :)

Yes, that's true. I'm still working on Video On Demand, but when there's a Live Match, the above mentioned method is possible.

I assume this is your own product (since you set your home page to the same site)?

It's fine to recommend this since it's relevant to this topic, but if it's your own product that you sell, I would always recommend you disclose this. If you don't disclose and people find out, you've lost their trust, while if you do disclose it, people will respect you for it.
