I'm getting used to donic twister lb 2.0. It's kinda medium pip/short pip (got it today), but I'm kinda unsure about the properties of Medium pips. I've played a little with long pips (friendship and , joola octupus) and I've messed around with short pips (radical, 802, and globe 889).

Anyway. Are there some basic rules to returning serves with medium pips?

For example with inverted I use the clock image. If my opponent hits 5 o'clock I know its under/side spin and an easy way to return the serve would be to hit 5 o'clock myself to compensate for the sidespin.

How does this principle apply to pips? Is it opposite vs heavy spin since the spin reverses? Does the medium pips cancel the spin? Or should I forget about it and roll(flip)loop that serve if it comes long?

Any help would be appreciated. I'm taking the medium pips to league for the first time tomorrow and some kind of concept of serve return would be helpful. Otherwise I'll mess with my robot to see what I can come up with.

returning serves with medium pimples such as donic twister, keep the blade as open as possible, meaning try to return the serve by playing a flat a stroke as possible.

the more angle you lift the ball, the easier for your opponent, as the spin will be too orthodox.[topspin]

a shallow lift into ball, the ball will have less topspin and will go lower over net making it harder for opponent to read/attack attack with consistency.

with medium pimples the less topspin you produce, the harder it will be for opponent.

this applies to most strokes with pimples. lifting the ball occasionally will give variation of spin.
