Well I have now tried nearly all the mid pips and the one I always come back to is Diamant 1.5mm. It has great control I can hit well with it and blocking is superb. There is definately a good disruptive effect. The next best was Palio wp1013 this has great hitting capabilities against a low pushed or chopped ball good control but not much disruptive effect. I have come to the conclusion that with mid pips you have to decided the balance between speed and the disruptive effect. The balance for me is definately Diamant 1.5mm. I forgot to say I use it on my F/H with a tenergy 25 1.9mm on my backhand. I am suprised there are not many other reports on the Diamant.

Did you try RITC 563? If so, could you compare it against Diamant?

I did in red but didnt have the same control or effect. On a push shot the ball tended to pop up a little more than diamant. My practicing partners much preferred the 531 now that tell you something! The sheet is now definately in the cupboard.

Intriguing.. how's the weight? Is there anywhere to buy it for less than $49 per sheet? Any broken pips yet?

I do play it on Andro super light carbon blade 70grms and find the weight perfect. The rubber is long lasting with no broken pips even on the edges. Very durable but perhaps needs to be because of the price.
