Whats the difference between the two? Will the 1.2 be too slow?

depends on your blade....fast blades 1.2 will be faster and slower blades 1.5 will be faster....

the thicker the sponge the more sensitive to spin the medium pip will become....however it will allow you to impart your own spin more if you have a thicker sponge

Charlie of BBC Table Tennis is a longtime user of 563 1.5mm (and Super Anti before that). He's quite deadly with it, in fact. En route from China right now is this newfound 563 1.2mm which he should be testing shortly. I'll try to relate his impressions here.

The 563 1.2mm turned out to be 1.5mm when it arrived from Eacheng. Charlie really liked the Mystery 1 1.5mm.. more so than the Zeropong 35* 563 that he's been playing with for years. Also in the shipment was 563 Mystery 3 1.5mm which was surprisingly spinny! Charlie didn't like it but I sure did.. albeit not enough to put down my LP.

What is the Mystery 1 1.5 mm? Is that a 563 rubber? Also, where do you buy the Mystery 1?

The whole thing with 563 - 1 is very interesting, it comes with different sponges and thickness,I think for an attacking game 1.5mm is best. But just let me throw something else into the topic. I recently obtained a few sheets of 563-1 made for Chinese players. It is totaly different in a good way, more speed, more control and more effect. The advantage is easy to see. Its all in the type on sponge , :D
