you can push underspin easily with 563, precision is no problem. more problems with 563 (and other MP's as well) I find against heavy topspin balls, needs more precision to be effectively blocked. more effect you should get with thinner sponge 563 as 1,5 mm. nathanso recommends 35 deg. sponge 563

ufortunatelly I do not have experience with 799, but you should expect that the thinner sponge creates more effect, as a rule. but that goes if we are talking about same type of sponge

i hated the 799 normal version, felt way to sensitive and mushy. but i dont know about the mystery version.

The ball will not pop up like with a long pips, but it will not be very heavy under spin either. Medium pips do not have as many "gears" as long or short pips (or inverted for that matter).

What it does do very well is control and speed. Frankly, unless some one really buried a deep spinney push that stayed very low to the table, this ball should be smashed or flicked away with 563. It is very resistant to your opponents spin-keep in mind that your total gears are not as many with medium pips.

Watch Miao Miao play with 563-she can flat out show you how its done with 563! She plays with it on her backhand and is very dangerous with it.
