Hi friends,

I want to try this rubber in 1.8 or 2.0 for BH blocking and close to the table play.

How much deception does it give?
What is it like for smashing with BH?
And for short pushes?
and for flicking against serves?
And what is the speed of this rubber? If it had the same thickness of sponge as Galaxy Pluto would it be faster and how much faster?

Thanks!

I don't know about with sponge, but I used this in OX recently and thought it was lousy. Dr. Evil is faster, more accurate and has an overall better feel.

I don't think either of those pips are available with sponge. Both (PK and Dr. E) are anti-like and have even less grip than hardbat pips. Great for breaking balls with attached to a fast hard blade!

I've been trying to use PK on 1.0 sponge as a FH hitting rubber, without any great success - mainly a technique issue for me. When I've tried it as a BH rubber I discovered I could chop really flat and with great control. It also seems to have great potential for blocking, but I wouldn't expect much deception from it.

PK OX is easy to block with and has some reversal. Great control and easy to chop with. Twiddle to forhand and flat hits were bullets. Had it on a fast blade, (Yinhe W-1) I used it on my Seemiller setup mainly for changing up on a looper. Could block a loop short and then attack again. Very good for serve return. However, I have gone to anti now, more reversal. :)

Not very deceptive in any way, good control over speed and spin, I think it could be better.

PK IS deceptive if you play people with spinny loops or good, spinny serves.

PK could be better? Better than what?

I found PK one of the easiest rubbers in the world to play with.
If you play people with little spin, you will not get any deception. There is no spin to use.
One of the attributes of PK is no surprizes. It does the same thing everytime. Blocking and chopping are so easy. What shots did you have problems with? It is not made for making spinny loops.
