Aggressor is more LP than MP?

Last year in this thread I commented about Aggressor 1.5: "It plays like a fast pips-out anti". Aggressor OX is much the same albeit somewhat slower, more spin-resistant, and easier to chop with. The Dr Neubauer product description reveals Aggressor's similarities to LP:

I have now played with Aggressor 1,5 mm on BH for almost 2 months (but I was away two weeks due to illness). I think I am starting to get a hang on it. Spinny loops must be blocked either with a light touch and the right bat angle, or with upward movement, like a slow loop. Fast loops needs to be blocked passively, perhaps with dampening the speed a little since the rubber is rather fast on high impact.
Opening against back spin is very good once you find the right amount of force and bat angle. You do it like a flip. If you serve back/sidespin andopponent pushes it back, you should use this flip and aim at opponents elbow. Your attack will curve a lot in the air and make it difficult for opponent to hit the ball.

Today I also tried Neubauer KO for a few minutes on my spare blade. It was easier for passive blocking and pushing over the table, but once you tried to block more actively it was not as good as Aggressor. Many blocks went to the net and block that hit the table was not as weird as from. Aggressor. More odd balls and fun effects from Aggressor - I will not change.

Interesting Def-attack that after years of posting videos of your experiments with chopping with LP I did not notice you chopping a single ball with aggressor. Is this a deliberate change in style or is aggressor not that great to chop with?

Both. I gave chopping up 2.5 years ago, I am not patient enough for that style. I have been using frictionless anti on BH ever since, except for the last months.

Aggressor in ox would probably be good for chopping, but with this dense and rather fast sponge of 1.5 mm you would need a slow blade for chopping with it. And you still need a stiff blade for blocking. I use a fast carbon blade. I can chop with it but that is bot something I aim for, I only do it if forced away from the table (I don’t aim for that either).

Yes I know what you mean about patience, I need to learn some on the bh in choosing what to attack.
Perhaps some aggressive chop blocks may work for you with Aggressor. Have you ever tried Gipfelsturm or Keiler?

Whats aggressor like on the f/h ?

No, I haven’t. Chop block works good I think but now in the start I focus on blocking, attacking backspin and serves mostly. The rest I have to look at when the season is over in a month or two.

I think your playing style with Aggressor will be heavily influenced by your fairly fast Carbonada blade.

It will be interesting to get feedback from other members on the pros and cons of using Aggressor on Def+ type blades.

is there a difference between Agressor in red or black?

what is the advantage/ disadvantage of a thicker sponge? I guess 1.3mm is the most disruptive but slower.
