Hello. My daughter plays with Keiler 1.8mm on backhand. She uses the Nittaku acoustic carbon blade. She is very comfortable playing against attacking players. The problem is she gets stuck in the short game where there is no spin and speed. Either she hits the ball in the net or out. Is there any recommendation for a rubber which will suit her counter attacking style of play.. Experts on the group please help.Have posted a link of her video.. Please check and let me know. Thank you. https://youtu.be/VZABAy6NbIY

this is the main problem with low spin short and medium pips as they work best with a good degree of spin and speed from your opponent.

There are a few solutions. Most medium pips work well against opponents pushes with a taken early no spin push creating a low no spin ball which can be slow or fast deep into the corners or wide. Keiler will actually for a medium pip create quite a bit of topspin but the action has to be quite short and fast with a fairly vertical blade i.e. not like an inverted rubber topspin. The main thing when doing the shot is to concentrate on spin and placement and not go for pace and snatch the shot as then as you mention the ball will just go in the net or long.

Basically you have to have patience and wait for an opponent mistake or an opportunity to kill the ball

This is not a special or strange thing. It's a typical medium pimple difficulty. She can choice to continue using keiler to find the sweet spot of blade angle and force to deal with short games. If she is willing to try the other rubber, the best alternative is probably Spinlord Gipfelsturm 1.5/1.8. She will get similar reverse effect and much more comfortable in the short game. However the down side is that Gipfelsturm is slower.

No need to change rubber. Have her learn the side-swipe/strawberry or whatever they're calling it these days.
