If this stuff proves to be better than Evil, I will have to come up with a better name for it than Peacekeeper. :D

It has more reversal than Evil. Thats why I am so interested in it. A friend of mine tried it already and says it is slow like Evil and does have more reversal. :D

I am a new member and former SB,Inferno, and Monster user. On my journey for my new set up I tested Gambler' Peacekeeper XXX OX. About a year ago I had used the Peackeeeper version with sponge and did not especially like it. I will end up with inverted and 802-40 as my set up. Back in April of 2008 while I was testing about anything(Globe 979, Milkyway 955, Kokotaku 911, Meteor 911,Saviga V, Dawei 388 D-1 Quattro, etc in OX and with sponge) I ended up chatting with Tom at a tournament in Knoxville, TN (my home club) Tom owns Zero Pong and the Gambler brand. He mentioned that magic friction number of 25 saying that the ITTF had tested his Peacekeeper at the exact lowest mininum legal level...hmm Thus I got a couple of seets of Peacekeeper OX Yes, it is indeed loaded with more reversal than Dr. Evil( i mention that because this thread mentioned that) However I compared the Peacekeeper OX to LP rather than Dr. Evil. I will be really interested to see what others think of this rubber.

I found it to be the easiest to use the LP strokes with. Nothing will match SB, but I do believe Peacekeeper XXX OX to be the best bet currently out there.

Have tried the Peace Keeper some more now. Comparing it to Evil in OX, I feel it is a little slower on blocks, (good thing) more control and more reversal.
Next week the plan is to practice hitting any kind of backspin again. I will be using Evil and Peace Keeper but already know I am going to switch to Peace Keeper.
I am going to figure out a better name for it though. It's a whimp name and too long to type. :D

How does it play away from the table? Can you chop decently with it? I'm tempted to give it a try, since I can hit really well with Dr. Evil but didn't like its lack of deception on chopping.

I can chop away from the table eaiser with Peace Keeper than Any other rubber I have tried. This is against REAL hard, spinny loops and drives from my practice partner. He is the guy that loops so hard, he cuts his forhead open about once a week! LOL No kidding! (I keep telling him to put a strip of rubber around the edge of his blade)
Evil works similar but the balls go back low and more consistant with Peace Keeper.
The only way I know to change spin with chopping is to use different strokes.
Thin, under the ball chop like with hardbat. More wrist for more spin.
Straight down chop stroke with open bat.
Open bat, stroke into and a little down. Kind of a push, chop.

Pull back blocks when receiving serve or some other shots, can literley drop a ball and stop it 1 foot from the net. PK works better than Evil for this also. You have to take the ball Very close to the bounce, like an inch or two after the bounce. Won't stop a heavy chop serve as it goes back with top. It will drop it short but the top makes it go long after the bounce on his side. Done right, it will double bounce on the other side though. :D

One more question...I assume that you can also hit very well with it? Can someone compare hitting with it as opposed to hitting with long pips with sponge?
