I just tested Pluto (red) in 1.5mm along with Charlie of BladesByCharlie.com, a longtime 563 1.5mm user. We found Pluto to be similar to 563, but felt that 563 was a better MP.

I've always regarded Pluto as a short pip, so in this respect I agree that 563 is a better Medium Pip ;)

I played with the Pluto for quite a while. It has less grip than the 563 and the strokes have to be more horizontal. You have to play the Pluto against an inverted player to see it shine. In 1.3mm sponge it is even more disturbing. It sends sinking balls that are very hard for your opponent to lift.

Yes the friction is very low, that's why it was initially banned by the ITTF when the friction limit was introduced, but later re-instated when new samples were tested.

Forgot to mention that the Pluto is a good weapon against LP OX players because it sends out a lot of no-spin balls.
