if it's OFF+ and slower than TBS where does that put the TBS :?
what I was meaning is it's a composit and does not feel like a carbon blade i.e. hard and stiff.
The control ALL+ or control 3 I hear is marginally slower than a TBS and it's ALL+ rating is slightly wrong.
Kendo OFF+ and control 3 ALL+ both a little slower than a TBS :?
who's rating these blades?

haha, ok.
I'll call it an off blade then, but the upper side of off.
It's definitely a controlled-offensive type blade, rather than a pure power blade.

The Kendo looks like it would be really comfy if they release a penhold version of it. :)

Hmmm, I'm curious, how would you compare these blades to the Dawei Wavestone? Perhaps you could do a lengthy review of the Wavestone so I can compare them my self?

Sure. My review wavestone is in the mail then?

Excellent reviews, as always Silver. Great pics as well. If you could add a few more positive things about them and remove the downsides, then I think you could get hired by Stiga (Or any other manufacturer) to write reviews for them.

I could, but I'd prefer to tell it as it is.

It may partly depend on how many of us e-mail him, asking about price and expressing interest.

I'd like a price on the Ultralight. If he doesn't appear here soon I'll e-mail him.

I assume that Geoff will get feedback from the people he's sent them around to first, then see what happens from there.

It's getting harder to excite me over new blades these days, but I'll admit that while neither blade really offered me any "wow" points for the feel, the Kendo is probably the best put together blade I've seen and the Ultralight is the lightest I've ever seen.

Heh, if he was going to work for Stiga it would say something like. We have developed a new Carbon, Kevlar weave system which we call the CKWS. We have implemented the CKWS into the new Kendo line of blades. The CKWS is the newest advance in blade technology. It increases speed without sacrificing feel with very minimal mass increase within the blade.

Hm, speaking of "novelty" blades, I bet a uniply juniper would actually work pretty well as a shakehand blade. It wouldn't have to be as thick as uniply hinokis, since juniper is naturally faster and stiffer, and would probably be in a reasonable weight range even with rubber on two sides (or at least wouldn't be too head heavy).

And on the subject of juniper blades, anyone who has any direct correspondence with the heads of any manufacturers, tell them to start making some more juniper Jpens, damnit! :D I really love my Galaxy one more than even the most expensive hinoki blade, so I can only imagine how good one would be if they had some exceptional cuts of wood (the grain of my Galaxy one, while of really great quality, is a little bit wavery on one side, though it doesn't seem to affect the feel too much).

I'm very curious on the ultra light... and maybe I should do some research on the LKT ProXF hehe
Kendo sounds like a fantastic blade but not my cup of tea.
