Hi guys, I am new to this forum, so pardon me for a naive question :o

Can a genuine Acoustic blade weigh 79 g ? (Looks legit to me)

If yes, how would you expect it to differ from a usual +/- 88 g one?

Yes I think it's possible, as there's always variations in weight because wood is a natural product.

A lighter one is likely to feel a little slower, but probably a little more control.

Thanks Dark Knight, just a little slower is what I need at my age :whew: I was asking because -9 g seemed to me a bit extreme for a blade that is claimed to be very consistent.

Now, I have a pair of Donic Bluefire M3, unpacked. Any idea if it works well with an Acoustic? I hesitate because I don't like overly soft rubbers. Played with YSE/Rasanter R37 for a couple of weeks and it's definitely not my cup of tea.

I like G-1 on my Violin, and something similar with the same control but a bit more brushing capability would be perfect. It's hard to play with G-1 topsheet only, but as a drive-spin rubber it's awesome in my limited view. Rakza 7 comes to mind but I never tried it.
