I guess whether you like vibrations or not may depend on your style of play too. For chopping I really like the vibrations... but as a hitting/blocker style you'd probably prefer none?

I think low to no vibration is suitable for power loopers. For this play-type vibration sort of gets in the way of feeling comfortable. From my own experience, it's nice to have no vibration power looping from mid-distance, but with the same set-up, playing close to table lacks the needed "touch". My current set up is OFF, and vibration feels rather uncomfortable for powerlooping, especially mid-dist counterloops. I think a good quality soft-sponge rubber would help though, as I feel the sponge can absorb most of the vibration. This makes me wonder my Wang LiQin likes H2's hard sponge .. maybe his special sponge is not that hard afterall? I can't imagine playing a hard set-up away from the table .. maybe I should try H2 when I have the chance.

I imagine that they put enough glue on to make a hard H2 feel soft :P

Globe 999 National glued up is actually medium soft-ish.

I like high vibration when playing close to the table, and when chopping at mid distance. I find the feedback really helpful for touch shots, and for leaning the variations of chop.

Medium to low seems better when looping though, so I guess style of play is a big issue. Obviously when power looping you are contacting the ball much harder than when chopping, or dropping a ball just over the net.

I'd like a blade with a volume control.

If you've tried the toxic 3 you'll know what high vibrations is

I meant high as in- all Hinoki blades (Joyner-H, Septear, etc.) not as in crazy churchbell blades. The Toxic 5 has too much for me, and I imagine the Toxic 3 has even more.

Yes I guess we all have a different perception of what high/med/low vibrations is...

i like vibrations!! i can;t flat hit to save my life.. but i looove to topspin.. and almost exclusively close to the table.

the vibrations make a big difference for me to place the ball (on blocks) and to brush the ball (on topspins)

even after the ball leave, i can tell how much spin i put on that ball based on that feedback.

hookshot: when a reaction becomes reflex, the signal doesnt travel to the brain and back.. usually to the closest nerve node and back.. giving a much faster response time (in the low milliseconds)

Hi Priior,
I am aware of that but what generated my input was a guy that claimed you could change the shot midway "during" contact depending on what your hand felt as the ball impacted. No way. Not even Darth Vader. :D
