Two new blades from Avalox about to be released. These are preliminary pictures, so they may change when they are released (probably next month);

Both blades are made in Sweden, and supposedly designed for the new poly ball era (more power and spin). i'll post more details when I receive further information.

P900 piques my interest. Hopefully it'll be under 6mm.

There is a spelling mistake in the description inscribed on Ruiba. "losin" should be "losing". I hope they fix this.

Well spotted... I didn't read it carefully enough :oops: Similarly technic should really be technique.

I contacted them shortly after the posting. They have replied and have said they are aware of the incorrect spelling of "losing". Note, "technic" is the North American way of spelling "technique", so I guess that's ok..

Maybe they meant losin' with an apostrophe at the end, as in, "They be losin' that game over there!" :-).

Also, I'm pretty sure "technic" isn't the right way to spell that anywhere.

I took the liberty to spread the news on a Chinese forum and the people there are enthusiastic about the P900 by a wide margin.

I've posted some details on the P700 and Ruiba here. They are nice looking blades, and well sealed, which Avalox has only done for a few of their other blades as far as I can tell.

Notice also that they've changed the text a little, fixing up some mistakes and adding the "Made in Sweden".

I think this trend of putting lengthy descriptions and speed rating graphics on blades corresponds with a similar trend in digital cameras. In the old days, you never saw megapixel ratings, etc. plastered on the front of cameras.

At least with most cameras, you can peel them off... ;)

I don't mind text on the blade face... you can't see it anyway once it's covered. Some cool graphics would be nice though. I don't know why more manufacturers don't do this.

I don't mind them, either, just noting the trend... ;)

Good point... but most only put the graphics on one side, so it's not an issue. I doubt they would even think of this to be honest, after all long pimple players are not real table tennis players, are they? 8) :lol:

If the wood is really dark you can't put OX LP on it anyway, it would be too dark to be legal.

With the p900, what have Avalox stated that makes this blade unique and different to the other two p5 and p7. How does it compare on speed?

Ouch !!! P900...really gets my eyes on it, possibly a true powerhouse with great touch (just like swedish-made blades's advertisements LoL) :D

I wonder...is it the 'dawn of the 9 ply' or not...if yes, maybe we can see some dynapower's heir around soon hahahahaha
