I made this one a few weeks ago for someone who sent me his 15 year old blade with the same handle for an exact replica of the shape. This one is a Zebrano Thunder, a quite stiff and hard all-wood blade.

Wow! That's interesting. Is there an advantage to a handle like that?

This looks like an interesting blade. Very little info on it. 3-ply, very light (60g), dimensions are something like 116 x 165. Please let us know how it plays.

Here's one more, supposedly called the Futec from Schildkrot (with umlaut over the 'o' of course). I don't think it's possible to get one of these anymore. :(

That looked interesting. I wonder what the theory is behind this design?

Well, that's what makes it interesting; I wasn't able to find any info on it whatsoever besides the name and brand, and I think it's supposed to be 'leaf shaped.' Oh how I would have loved to have one.

I think the theory is that you get the longest contact/dwell time on backhand topspin strokes - at least, this is the Dotec's publicity claim which is a similar handle.

I don't think they put much thought into this blade... it must feel very unbalanced...

I've tried the Brodmann Blade, which so far is the strangest frame I've tried. Great control on a lot of strokes, but lacks in the speed department.

I guess you would not get any flex at all in this type if blade. If they made it of a thick balsa layer with carbon, this would give it a lot fo extra speed, as well as making it lighter.

One of the more interesting aspects of the Brodmann blade is that you can change the way a shot plays by putting more or less pressure on the inside of the blade with your fingers. I even managed to create a nice wobble effect with it. Actually i think this blade would definitely suit some lp players.
