You might PM dmras to get his take, but IIRC the blade was designed as a ALL blade. The wrc outers would give it a pretty soft feel. It has a balsa core and peruvian walnut handle, both of which contribute to its light weight.

Why don't you like it?
Just buy the models/designs you like. You may not have realized this, but some of the unusual blades are designed to help people with disabilities or elderly so they can continue to play. I only have 1/2 my muscle on my playing side due to a broken neck accident and nerve damage. I wish more companies make unusual blades. I am desperately trying to find something to keep me playing.
Bro, don't be so fast to judge and dislike. I pray you are never in a situation that requires modified equipment. IT SUCKS!

I suffered a broken neck injuries years ago in a car accident. As a result I have nerve damage, which let to partial paralysis and muscle loss on my playing side. With clothes on it's hard to tell, but without you would see chunks of muscle gone from neck, chest, and shoulders. I am able to compensate for my shots, but upward strokes, i.e. looping, brush looping, and flick/flips are almost impossible. You are not being nosy. We are all part of a small elite group supporting each other!!

Even though Tommy is battle scarred, his flat hits would deflect any meteorite headed for earth :D

One of my newest blades: Soulspin Medium Speed with a special ergonomic handle.

BH = "symmetrical, hollow shaped form, completely free of interfering edges, due to the hollow shape fingers are placed perfectly in the central cavity".
FH = "assymmetrical handle design, at the lower end the handle is slanted to the left, free of sharp and interefering edges, the curvature is adapted perfectly to the heel of hand."

Blade-composition: koto/spruce/kiri/spruce/koto

Here's an unusual one that I built recently. The index and middle fingers straddle the blade and rest in the upper indents of the handle while the thumb sits in the lower indent.

:o cool....ALMOST a v-grip kind of thing. It would have a bad crossover point, but I could see some powerful hitting with it.

Thanks! The handle design was a collaboration with the client. After a number of back-and-forth design changes, this is what we settled on.

That looks really cool. Looks like you could, pretty easily, do a reverse forehand and backhand loop and still block with obverse side.
