Blade: Victas Matsushita Off
FH: Tibhar EL-s 1.9
BH: Victas Curl P1V 1.0
I have an old Butterfly Tempest blade I've played with until I stopped playing for three years, Sriver FX on forehand and Curl P3 Alpha on backhand. It has very small dimenstions (146 x 155) and plays pretty well: fast but controlled.

Does anybody know how old the blade is and what are the exact characteristics? As I judge it correctly, it's an OFF- blade and I think it's from the eighties.

This was my first post here at OOAK :-)

I pulled off the rubbers and took some pictures. Anybody knows what are the outer plies? It seems to be an allround-counter blade, but it feels very speedy, maybe because of its maneuverbility due to the small size. I forgot to weigh it before sticking a new rubber on it. The blade + light FH rubber Dawei Inspirit Quattro UL 35° = 115g.

One side reveils the blade share (43%) of Butterfly blades at WTTC in Sweden in '85. The blade must be made in 1985-86. I wonder what this share would be today???

Thanks for your suggestion dsidechops, but I don't think it's willow. Willow is more striped as in example below

Most likely Basswood... Basswood was used in many blades at the time.
