Hello,

Does anyone have any experience with the maple shot? Is the core Ayous?

My W1 (7-ply, 5w + 2c, 6.1 - 6.3 mm, limba outer, ayous core) is a nice blade, but I dislike the feel of limba and carbon, especially for the short game. I prefer harder outers.

Would the dwell of the maple shot be greater when looping, and is there much drop off in power?

Feel free to suggest other 5 ply wood blades that might suit me. I've been looking at a lot lately, including the DHS H-WL, Donic Speedster, Sawtec AR, Avalox p500, but I'm not sure about any of those.
