I have 5 of the PG7 blades all with the straight handle and they are my favorite blade. I use to use the Timo Bol Spirit and Michale Maze Butterfly blades but I play better with the PG7 and have more confidence with it. Plus they are cheap in price.

I also have ST handle pg-7 what is your blade weight, head thickness and dimensions?
What is your handle color yellow or orange? (mine is yellow)
Can you compare the PG-7 to the TBS?
Thanks

My blade dim. are app. 158x151, thickness is app. 6.3. I have 2 that weigh 87 grams and the other 3 weigh 89-90 grams. I can't tell any difference in the yellow or orange colored handles with the way they play. What I feel the difference in the PG7 and the Timo Bol Spirit, Michale Maze blade is the PG7 has more catapult or speed on hard and fast strokes but plays very controlled in the short game with a lot of feel. This is just my feel, somebody else might have a different feel.

Yes and the blade head seems to be like egg shaped in ST it also has good flex and softness

Played with PG7 for a while.
Felt great but I'm an EJ so moving on.

Now I play with Galaxy 896.
What a difference!
Don't get me wrong. Yinhe 896 is a fine allround 10$ blade.
But it is no PG7. Not even close.
Now I can really comprehend the quality of PG7.

PG7 is faster but also has more control. It is better for looping (although Yinhe 896 is considered "the looping blade"). It is far better for chop and push (896 has poor control in defensive shots).
PG7 also provides far better spin.
Altogether, when you get used to PG7 you have feeling of control in your shots and you know that only a better player is going to beat you. There was a few moments when I felt really helpless with Yinhe 896 and wanted to break my racket.
I'm gonna try to get the best from Galaxy 896 but keep thinking about PG7...

Thanks for your great review SirSpinsalot! The follow-up post especially was very insightful.

We too had our equipment tester Patrick try the DHS Power G7.

He reckons it's an excellent blade for those who want to upgrade from a 5-ply limba/ayous-based blade to a slightly stiffer and faster blade without significant loss in flexibility.

If you'd like, you can read the full DHS Power G7 review by Patrick here.

Keep up the good work!
