Did not expected miracles but Texa Balsa is very good with Dr. Neubauer Aggressor 1.3

The blade significantly faster and heavier then my usual, but I had no problems with speed to play tournament just after small warm-up.

The blade has good dwell for generating spin but it also nicely supports flat game with offensive pips-out rubbers.

After the typical diagonal edge contact with the table during service the edge partially splintered between top plies and core. In my experience glue bettwen plies was never the weakest part of the racket composition.

I do not recommend Texa Balsa as it is bad quality product.

Something interesting to mention about the Matador. I discovered its handle is hollow! I requested a light one from tt11 some time ago and recently modified the handle from straight to a shorter penhold grip, so the blade’s weight went from 76g to 71g. I’m happy about the lighter setup because it makes twiddling easier! I got it for trying out anti and it was little fast for me previously, so this may be a nice improvement. I look forward to giving it another try.

Any idea what the wood ply combination of the Matador blade is?

I've heard balsa blades are bad for Glanti?

Thanks!

PS. I'm currently playing with a balsa center ply blade.

Walnut - Ayous - Ayous - Ayous - Ayous - Ayous - Walnut

Balsas are generally considered as not that good for antis, I would not use them.
