Yesterday played "Schetinin" with "native" overlays (Curl P-1r and Triple Spin Chop, both 1 mm sponge). Standing in the "Capercaillie" can be until you're blue, TOPS with this combination of stable sawn that spikes that smooth. The downside - the game for a refund predictable. Good sweeping roll forward on both sides. Overall, almost 80% incl and speed - the same Toccata Carbon Def with some nuances (a little softer, less vibration, I ordered my pen handy). I will try to continue receiving the first moves in a flat game.

So how does "Capercaillie" come into this??

This is how: poster used 'глухарь' term to describe impenetrable defensive style - which also happens to be russian name of this bird:

As a side note, reading TT forum in Russian made me realize I have no idea what they are talking about :headbang: , and I'm a native speaker.

This is a bird that I would love to see one day! I looked for Capercaillie this past summer in Switzerland, but it is a difficult bird to find, and so I was not successful. It sure is great to see a photo of bird on the OOAK Forum, especially one as spectacular as a male Capercaillie.

ROFL.. It's a grouse!

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Western_capercaillie

All this while I just thought it was the name of a Scottish band. I wonder why it's also an impenetrable defense in Russian!

Still wondering about "Dagor Bragollach" - Tolkien fans would recognize this as being the big battle in the First Age where the Elf Kingdoms almost got wiped out by dragons. When I first came across it on AliExpress I thought it was something in Gaelic.

He responded! I had to Google translate and he said he is in Israel and will be back home in November.

Well, I never got a legit response back after the above texts. And because of my double inverted experiment I decided to forgo the search. I still play pips, because my league team depends on me for points, so the interest in Chtch's setup is still there. Besides, he's my absolute favorite player. He and Matsushita.

Guess what!? There's a new carbon blade by Victas which sounds like a good analogue. IT's the new carbon Matsushita Blade! It's the Matsushita Special, a 5 wood ply + 2 layers of Fleece Carbon. Just like "Anna." I wonder if this is somehow influenced by Chtchetinine since he's a TSP player? Ben at Tabletennisstore.com has one reserved for me. :P

Err,

Isnt Anna 3 wood plies + 2 carbon plies?

And that Matsushita special also looks 3 wood plies + 2 carbon plies, contrary to what written on it

Or it may be means 5 plies (wood + fleece carbon)

:)

Buy than blade asap, please. :D

Waiting for the review, and the answer for, "Why Chtchetinine use carbon blade?"
