Hi guys,
I can't find much review wise on the Tibhar Stratus Power Defense. Can anyone give me any playing reviews on it? How does it compare to Butterfly's Joo Se Hyuk blade?

I can't compare it to the JSH as I haven't used it. The Power Defense is a versatile blade which pairs up well with tensor rubbers for offensive play but can be used for block, chop block and chop with long pimples such as Grass DTecS.

I find it has sufficient power for loop from mid range and is superb at ending a point quickly by smashing and driving. It is therefore suitable for modern defence as well as defensive play at the table. I always seem to go back to it!

i can't compare with the JSH, but from what i read the JSH is very stiff, so on this note the two blades are very different. i found the tibhar blade to be flexible and soft in feeling. it works really good with soft long pimples such as Feint Long 2/3/Soft, but not so much with harder/crisp pips like the P1-R, Donic Spike. Seeing how it is a soft, flexible blade it works best with medium hard inverted rubbers. hard ones, like the h3 felt weird to me and soft ones felt mushy. ST handle is really comfortable and finishing is good, you will have to sand a little around the edges and maybe also the blade faces as it's not perfectly smooth. you have to seal it for sure. it has the same shape as the BTY blades, but the handle is placed more upwards in the blade, thus the blade size is 160x155 and the wings near the handle are really wide. overall for the price (35-40 Euros) it's a really good blade.

I use medium hard/ hard sponge inverted rubbers with the blade so I agree.

I have both blades.
I find TSP relatively hard and stiff compared to my former Defplay, but JSH is much harder and stiffer.
TSP has a dampening effect in block and it is very easy to make short block and stop balls.
it has really great control in chopping and still okay power when attacking.

Great blade overall.
