Just supposing I were to succumb to temptation.... at €50 from the OOAK shop I might.... but at $40 from TTNPP I might be even more likely.

Is this in any way likely to be legit: http://ttnpp.com/store/avalox/522-avalox-p700-7.html

I've never bought from TTNPP before, but having read haggisv's interview with Avalox, I'm skeptical of "too good to be true" prices.

It does say "AVX Avallo" on the face of the blade, so if it's a fake it's a real fake rather than a Chinese-trademark Avalox described in the interview. I haven't heard of ttnpp selling fakes, I'd be inclined to think it's real. $40 is more than I paid for my real Swedish-made Stiga Allround Classic so it's not "too cheap" for a all-wood Swedish blade. The outlets that sell fakes on AliExpress are pretty blatant, they almost always have more than one fake item (i.e. if you see "Tenergy 05" being sold for $20 you'd suspect the "Stiga" blades they have for sale, no matter what the price).

have bought andro pips from ttnpp at lower price they were fine but the avalox wasnt what i expected, dull feeling blade makes me wonder if avalox quality is not the same like avalox from 2009 bought at alphatt or maybe it waws fake. has anybody compared current avalox p700 to 9+older p700 ones?

alphatt is definitely a legit Avalox dealer, not so sure about ttnpp, I expect not. I expect their Andro stuff is legit though.

I am not sure if they have changed, but I hit with a friends avalox p500 and it was very nice. I can tell you my next blade is probably avalox or maybe an off- darker.

Wouldn't the P700 be a 7 ply and the P500 a 5 ply? They'd be quite different if that's the case, like the difference between a Stiga Clipper and a Allround Classic.
