I had a Galaxy Yin He EC13 blade (Engineered Wood) 6 years ago, played with it for 1 year. Then a friend gave me a Stiga Clipper Wood blade with which I played ever since. But I felt like my play was getting gradually worse. I didn'n know why, but it could be that i'm getting older. So recently, I dig up my old Galaxy blade and suddenly my game improves a lot: my shots are faster and more powerful, my counter strokes are more efficient and I feel more confident than before. Btw I'm a Right-handed shake-hand mid-distance all-round player.
I'd like to hear from you all your opinion on this blade.
Thank you.

FH: Yasaka Rakza X
BH: Palio Thor
I don't know much about the Yinhe Galaxy EC-13, but isn't Stiga Clipper like one of the heaviest hammer blades out there ? That Miu Hirano plays with it ? Like blade alone is supposedly 95-97 grams??? !!!!

Not sure but it might be the blade is too heavy ?

The Clipper is heavy, but not all of them are THAT heavy. 90-95 gram blades are actually pretty common, and some of those oversize chopping blades (JSH for instance) are a lot heavier. Still, it's something to consider - let us know what your current racket weighs.

I can't play with anything more than about 83-85 grams (depending on the rubber), so I've not tried any of those arylate-carbon blades yet - they're all pretty heavy.

Thank you all for your reply.
Actually my Galaxy Yin He EC13 blade weighs about 84g, has 7 plies (5 wood + 2 Engineered carbon), 5.7mm thick, 90 for speed and 80 for control (out of 100), rated OFF. As of rubbers, I use Butterfly Tenergy 05 on FH and Joola Explode on BH
