I haven't played with a cheap blade for years, but the W6 always seemed a good one amongst the many I tried.

For push-blocking with LP, I like Tibhar CO-S-3. €20.75/$22.86 at tabletennis11.com. Better than blades costing 10x as much!

Ha, no I got your reference, but I didn't understand Iskandar's "hee hee hee." What'd I miss? :^)

And how did you glean that it's the N-11?

(Falls off chair laughing)

It's always the N-11.

I might actually have a chance to try an N11 soon.
A local store just recently got it on stock.
All this hype from Iskandar makes me really curious. hehe

Isn't the N11 supposed to be a clone of the premade buster from Cole?

Don't think you'll find it cheaper than this:

http://www.aliexpress.com/item/Free-shi ... 03493.html

Oh wait... here's another five cents off:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Genuine-Yinhe-G ... 2474473248

Both Eacheng. "Free" shipping, and you can ask them about weights (if you want a particular weight) - I think they're all around 80 grams. Only problem is the 3 week wait.

I have always advocated the Galaxy 896 as part of the "Der_Echte Special" (New 896 blade $16, recycled FH Rubber, new XP 2008 for $8 new on BH) sourced from colestt.com heck you could get two of those bad boy blades with shipping and still fall under $40 USD.

Thinking about it, the first 896 blade I got was from OOAK !!! I got it with 979 in 1.0 or so was my first LP setup to tryout.

That setup was easily under $40 USD before shipping.

The difference between the 896 and the N11 is the N11 has meranti (lauan) face plies while the 896... Not sure what it is but it's white. About the same thickness and weight. Essentially the same blade with different face plies - both have a thick core (probably paulownia/kiri). Both of these are early designs, Yinhe's been making them almost since the beginning (the factory opened in the late 1980s). The N11 used to be called the "960". The 896 is slower and has a lot of vibration. For what you can get these for, get both! I did..

Why do you prefer one blade for a certain style of chopping, and the other blade for a different style of chopping? And whats the difference between chinese style and japanese style?

DEAR ADMIN

I am sorry for accidental double post. Please delete one.

END

Softer blade, Toxic 3, give and affected by spin more than harder blade, Defplay.

So,

If your natural chop more perpendicular to incoming ball, you chop late, or below the table, choose Defplay. Think Matsushita. :D

If your chop more horizontal, earlier, or up the table, choose Toxic 3. Think Ding Song :D
