Incidentally - if you're in the US, and want to play with composite cloths and layups, here's a good source:

You will need access to something to compress layers together - be it a couple of pieces of MDF shelving and some C-clamps or a vacuum-bag setup (or, if you can score one - a photograph mounter or a T-shirt press), and preferably an autoclave (not difficult to make one).

They're having a Hallowe'en sale right now. Mainly prepregs.

ITTF still does not accept the idea of non-wooden rackets. I'm of same opinion.

Yeah I'm not really looking for materials to make whole blades out of: just layers. Besides, this is just for an experiment, so we don't really need any links to rants that are off-topic. I don't really care about what the ITTF think; they have no say about what I can and can't use for having a casual hit and experiment... besides, I'm not making anything illegal that I'm going to use in a match.
