Rosewood V and Ebenholz V have Spruce with the Ayous core and the top ply.

Definitely different construction than Allround Classic. More similar to Avalox P-500 or Stiga Offensive Classic.

They are not so fast. But they are closer to speed of Clipper than speed of Allround Classic.

Big wood feel. Somehow the Rosewood does not feel so hard but the outer ply is harder than a Limba blade.

The Yinhe Rosewood actually feels really nice.

Part of the thing with those blades is they play like a 7 ply in terms of speed but they are thin and have the feel and some of the playing characteristics of a flexible 5 ply blade.

Yikes. That's more than the Stiga NCTV costs. Or the Viscaria.

HRT's a lot cheaper:

Looks "cheaper", though (what's that at the end of the handle?).

Sanwei makes rosewood blades but they all seem to have carbon in them.

Another not cheap Rosewood blade is Cornilleau Gatien Glory. I prefer it to Stiga's Rosewood.

I tend to agree with your intent Baal however everything is a ripoff of something else, otherwise there would only be one brand of everything. One brand of car, one brand of TV, one brand of toaster etc etc

I guess the difference is that most of those examples, the ripoffs are doing it legally where as other things such as TT equipment sometimes shows blatant disregards of patents etc.

Did I just contradict myself or reply to my own post?

Making bats that look (and are constructed) similar to someone else's bats is questionable, but it's not the same as, for instance, selling someone else's computer software and claiming it's one's own. Especially since the blades in question are different enough from the other person's blades that you can tell them apart easily (it does say "HRT" on the handle rather than "Stiga", or even "Satiga"). Anyone who buys one knows he's getting a HRT and not a Stiga. He can't even PRETEND to his friends he has a Stiga (so it's not quite like fake Gucci handbags). How long has the Clipper been around? Even if the design had been patented (has anyone ever tried patenting a wood sandwich combination? I don't think you could, think about the amount of prior art out there, and I doubt anyone's ever tried, unless they had some novel material), patents run out after 17 years.

Now, if someone were to make exact copies of the Stiga Clipper, complete with Stiga logo (like they do with Butterfly stuff), that's another matter. Especially if they try to pass it off as the real thing (which, strangely enough, few seem to be doing with the fake Butterflys and Nittakus you see on AliExpress). Not sure why someone would knowingly buy one unless they thought it'd be SIMILAR to a Butterfly (not guaranteed, of course) or thought they could impress their friends with it. If you want something similar to a Butterfly, well, it doesn't necessarily have to LOOK like a Butterfly, just have the same construction.

It is still a ridiculous copy. Even if it doesn't say Stiga on it.
