Apparently it's both OFF and DEF!

And if you can't decide whether you want an arylate blade or a basalt blade (remember those? ), there's this:

Naah... his has a ST handle. Maybe this is to reduce edge strikes? Tempted to try this with one of the blades I own, easy to do with a bandsaw and my disc sander. Now.. which blade weighs too much.

Love that shape, but I'm not sure you'd get a rubber to fit it.

Trouble is it looks like it should have a hole in the middle

Something to do with vibrations?

I don't think you'd have any trouble getting ordinary rubber sheets to fit - it doesn't look extraordinarily large. If it's no wider or longer than a normal-sized blade rubber should fit.

I guess it depends on the exact shape - that Damien Eloi blade does look like it's smaller head than normal (i.e. you take a regular blade and cut the sides off) so it shouldn't be head-heavy but the opposite. On the other hand, if you extend the parts close to the handle and far from the handle sideways while thinning down the middle part, what you say may be true.

Just came across this. This is taking the Clipper idea (red plies) to the max. If anything, the racket has a very striking appearance - kind of a Black Clipper.

The rubber is "MCDAVLD" "Blaze9", which I assume is supposed to be a copycat version of something (probably Rakza 9, though I don't get the "MCDAVLD". Also, the end of the handle has a sticker that says "SPURTS".

Image

Further down they have some fake Stiga WRBs (they actually WRITE Stiga WRB), though the blade lens actually says "STIGN WHN".

Those rubbers...man, what a mess. No ittf logo, but they have bothered to put a fake id box on there. The numbers inside are nonsense (supplier 28 is gambler, but they don't have 88 rubbers...yet).

That's par for the course, though - look through AliExpress, you'll find all sorts of "off-brand" rubber, sometimes on pre-mades like this, sometimes separately. Some of it's actually quite decent (I got some sheets of "Timo Boll" brand "Warheads" rubber).

Oh, here's an example.

Note the package says "Made in China" but the topsheet??

Wonder if Herr Boll knows anything about this...

Oh yeah, the Boll rubbers are just classics. So much wrong, they almost go all the way off the end of the scale and become right.

Where else can you find a rubber called "Stunning"?   Actually, I can think of a way for some of these rubbers to be "BETTER" than the usual ones - just make the sponge a little thicker. Who's going to check to see if the rubber isn't actually 5mm thick?
