Blade: Galaxy w4
FH: H3 neo

Hello. I am currently using a dhs tg7- al blade with h3 neo for forehand. Everything is brand new and i have only used it for 3 hours.I do NOT like this set up at all. It is extremely bouncy and little dwell time. My play style is loop. Tg7 - al is an allwood blade so i am sure dwell time and looping should be semi decent with The blade.

I am guessing that the problem now is the h3neo. Is it because of the 2.2mm sponge or the fact that the sponge is too soft. Should i buy a h3 since the sponge is way harder than the NEO hence less bouncy and (more dwell time?). Or should i buy another neo below 2.2 thickness?

Someone plz help!!!!

I suspect the problem is the TG-7 AL. It's 7 ply and somewhat stiff. Maybe you should've went with the Galaxy W6. If you want a touch more speed than the W6, I've heard good things about the Tibhar Stratus Power Wood. It's 5 ply limba and ayous so it will have a softer feel and is considered a good looping blade. Speed-wise, somewhere in between the W6 and TG-7 AL.

It's rated OFF++ No wonder it's hard to control. Cool wraparound "lens-boss". Haven't seen one like that before. How about the N11?

I think he means this one.

Either way, Dear OP,

I dont know the blade, so cant comment anything, but,

Like previous posts, we suspect it as the culprit, why too bouncy. Responses in tabletennisdb give me impression that this blade too firm and hard for a looping blade. I prefer soft flexible but fast blade for looping.

And neither H3 and H3 Neo known to be bouncy for Tenergies experienced player.

I put H3 Neo as great rubber for those who chop and loop, and

I put original H3 as great rubber for Chinese style Chopper

So,

My advice is to keep your H3 Neo, but ask your friends to borrow his blade for you to try H3 Neo on it. Then you can decide by your hands, which blade is the best. ;)

These Under USD 40 blades known to match perfectly with H3 Neo. They known to be soft, flexible, and medium bounce.
