Hello all,

I started playing TT seriously about 4 months ago and have progressed quickly. I started with tenergy 80 on my forehand and backhand but changed to hurricane 3 on my forhand due to my large chinese-like way of looping. I love the hurricane 3 but I am subject to change on my backhand rubber. I currently use a blade that came with a premade paddle, I will put the link towads the bottom for that paddle. I have tried a few different blades and I would idealy like a soft feeling blade with little vibration. I do not want the speed of the blade to be too fast considering I am still a little inconsistant with my shots but I want the blade to be fast enough for hurricane 3.

Please give me any suggestions so I can get away from the blade I am using now,

Thanks!!

Thank you for the suggestions! Any suggestions on a new back hand rubber that wont be as fast at tenergy but will still give me the backhand loop spin I love?

Yasaka Sweden Classic Blade, though I don't think feels that soft. Stiga All-round is more ALL rather than ALL+. I actually like the sound of the Tibhar Lebesson bit its little talked about.

Donic Baracuda is plenty spinny. Try in 2.0mm for a bit more control.

Of those blades, I have and would go with Yasaka EO or Avalox P500. In that order. As for BH, Ma Long won Rio Olympics with H3 on FH and BH of a DHS blade, although almost certainly not the same H3 on both sides, and not the same as you and I can buy. I might look at another DHS rubber, Skyline TG3 or, for something softer, Gold Arc 3. You might want to try BH looping with the H3 you have, to get some feel. But i don't know the Tenergy rubbers. Many of the Chinese using H3 on FH used 05 on the BH using a 506(+)/HL3 blade, which is very similar to a DHS PG7, in itself based on a Stiga Clipper.

Choose a cheaper backhand.
Try Dawei Inspirit Quattro (UL) or Yinhe Moon. These will last you a long time.
Don't buy any of these 1,000,000$ per sheet rubbers that you have to replace every 2 months.

Thank you all for the suggestions. I am currently trying out the Yasaka Extra Offensive and loving it with my H3 on the forehand. The tenergy on the BH is really nice but I lack control. Any suggestions for a backhand rubber? I don't think I want to use Chinese type rubbers on my BH.

Thanks!

Maybe a non tensor euro type? Musa, Mark V, Magic Carbon.

If you can get MarsII in 33 deg, it's non tacky and I found it very good.

For the BH, you might look at Xiom Vega Intro, which is a less bouncy tensor. And less expensive.
